Salt

One of my presents to Mrs Catspaw this Christmas: a salt bowl and spoon from the 'Flint' side of the 'Chalk and Flint' range by the contemporary Brighton-based potter Gill Harvey.

Gill writes:

"Becoming a potter coincided with moving to Brighton and exploring the South Downs. 'Chalk and Flint' was my first range, inspired by the geology of my new surroundings.

"Working mainly on the wheel, I continue to seek fresh ways to reflect the qualities of this distinctive landscape, its history or its proximity to the sea."
