Ski race & Free skiing today

After breakfast, we split up into groups. My wife and I went cross-country skiing for a few laps, while the others went to the ski lift in the neighbouring village. We then met up for lunch at the small local ski resort.

The 12-hour fun ski race was taking place today, from 9am to 9pm (i.e. ending in the dark on the specially floodlit piste). For this reason, the ski lift was free for everyone and it was a cheerful atmosphere with music. Participants in the ski race take part in groups of three (with a minimum of one woman in the group). One person skis up and down for some time, the other two can rest. Whoever skis the most laps is the winner. 

Also taking part (and on the blip): a team from the fire brigade and they ski the whole race in full breathing equipment.
