Up close and personal
Rare chance to see Tasmanian wildlife at really close quarters today at the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary.

Difficult to know which photos to share but have gone with the kangaroos (extras1&2). The Tasmanian Devil (extras 3&4) and a Kookaburra.(extra5)
We then walked the Alum Cliffs trail, which took us through stunning forest until we reached a lookout with breathtaking views of the Mersey River in the Gorge below. (extras 6&7) All very pleasant until a shriek from Anne indicated that a Copperhead snake was sunning itself in the middle of the pathin front. (No…I didn’t get a photo!) We waited for it to slither off and continued towards the lookout. Well worth that bit of stress…:-)
