I can honestly say, I didn't see that one coming. Shrewsbury were/are in the relegation zone while a win would take Wrexham top of the table. It seemed likely to only go one way...but that's why we go!

Shrewsbury were the better team in a fairly even game but had more desire and got the crucial first goal to get the crowd going on a freezing cold Thursday night. Wrexham's equaliser dampened that slightly but Shrews kept up the intensity after half time and got the decisive penalty right in front of Aaron and me. 8 minutes of added time was a bit nerve-wracking but they held on for a few celebrations. If they play like that for the rest of the season they should avoid relegation.


Most of the rest of the day was spent in PRH. After Owen's accident yesterday they wanted to take a couple of loose/wonky teeth out under a general anaesthetic. We were on the ward by half past 7 and had a meeting with the anaesthetist before the consultant came round at half past 9 with an entourage of students. He had a good look, checking Owen's bite, and decided he was happy not to take any more teeth out but wanted us to stay for a couple of hours to make sure he was eating properly...we were there until half past 2! 7 hours for nothing! 
At least on the children’s ward they have a play room where we could play with some Duplo* and have a game of Monkey See, Monkey Poo with a monkey that pooed banana scented play-doh into its hands that it then flung at a tree to knock bananas off.
