The Unwelcome Visitor

Late this morning we drove to the London area to my Mum's old home to do some more clearing out. Late afternoon, we heard a sudden,loud noise outside. On opening  the front door, we discovered a car had appeared through the neighbours'  fence! Its driver had careered off the road, demolished a brick pillar at the entrance to the neighbours' garden, crossed their lawn and ended up stuck in the fence between the gardens,  just touching our side gate, with a wheely bin under the front wheels, and missing my car by about 2 feet. Fortunately, no-one was hurt,and the  neighbours' cars, parked in their drive way, were unscathed. Amazingly, a fire engine, an ambulance and two police cars arrived within ten minutes. One of the neighbours is a first responder - he didn't  need to leave home to be of use today! What caused the  driver to lose control and veer off the road  is a matter of speculation.....
