Denis Law

The King is dead!

The hero of my youth (and beyond). Denis Law was a fine man and a great footballer for Scotland and most notably for Manchester United.

I saw him play many times at Old Trafford in those glory days with Bobby Charlton and George Best for a few years when Manchester United under Matt Busby were at their best. In fact he scored a goal or was it two in the first game Dad and I went to after moving to the area. 4-2 against Arsenal (1965)
