Poor Puddy

Over the weekend Puddy was off her food and hid herself away. At 16 years old, we were quite concerned. However she started to perk up on Monday. But, being more active we caught a glimpse of her back end. Poor thing was a mess.

I took her to the vet last night and she was diagnosed with a nasty burst abscess next to her anus. Poor little love - no wonder she was feeling rubbish.

The vet has cleaned her up and put her on antibiotics. She has to wear a cone for at least a month so we are trying a softer doughnut style collar which seems more comfortable and that gives her some airflow and peripheral vision.

Poor Puddy is feeling very sorry for herself.
