Lost in Thought

The Clock (and WidWed results)

is going again :-)
I spent three hours in the church clock tower this afternoon.
It was ... fairly cold!
Not just me,  my neighbour Nick and the technician from the clock maintainers were there too - and the clock is now a going concern.

My blip is a triptych of the front face of the auto winder for the clock hands mechanism.  There are two more for the chimes.
This one needed some mechanical fettling and a microswitch repair.
At least Nick and I now have a better understanding of how the winder operates and how the epicyclic drive to raise the weight is triggered and stopped. Sam (the technician) was very determined & persistent in his approach and I certainly know more now than I did when the clock first failed.

Many thanks to everyone who enjoyed my effort yesterday with abstracting three Georgian Windows in Warwick.
