(Not) Muddy boots
Wild walk today along the routes of the old railway lines that used to serve Haverhill before Dr B wielded the axe.
Possibly it would have been better to do in late summer because the fields that cover the route of the old railway lines are freshly ploughed or seeded and consequently the mud was pretty heavy and prevented us from following the actual lines. We did find some good old features including the foundations of the signal box where the two lines merged and entered the station.
At the end we repaired to a local pub for lunch.
Squeezed in a clean of the paint work in the utility room and a coat of gloss. Meanwhile the gov did the unenviable task of boot cleaning.
