Elford

No deep frost and ice.
No necessary errands.

After a relaxed swim and leisurely breakfast, I was free to venture to one of my local happy places to stretch my legs and potter with my camera.

Elford Walled Garden is an inspiration. It’s neat and tidied in the winter and from Spring emerges as a lovely rich growing place.

I took photos of the winter honeysuckle and winter aconites but it’s the tree fern and other dramatic greenery that stole the day.

Merlin heard SO much, including a treecreeper which I spotted but was too slow to capture on camera.
