Mike Davies and Shakespeare
This was another day of records in the art of walking: 17 kms!
Again starting by a walk to the bus stop and then to Tampere. The graphics course in Ahjola started today, and I'm quite eager to see what soft-ground etching is all about.
After graphics I had to hurry to Pyynikki to hear Mike Davies give a talk on Shakespeare. The talk was both entertaining and informative. Mike e.g. told us that the ear ring in S's left ear lobe might signify that S had been a sailor at one point in his life. It was customary for sailors to wear ear rings in those times, because in case a sailor died the ear ring would have paid for his funeral!
Back home at Tyven at 9pm.
