Abstract Thursday - ‘Patterns’
A fairly non-stop day - church followed by half an hour in the admin office having a paperwork handover. I’ve volunteered to take over organising memorial plaques and memorial book entries for bereaved families whose loved ones’ remains are interred in the churchyard. When the brass plaques have been engraved they’re put on a special wall in the churchyard. I already knew what this involved from my own fairly recent experience of getting it done for Mum and Dad. After the handover I then joined everyone at The Exchange for coffee before going home to get some lunch.
In the afternoon I picked up my friend Christine, who broke her right arm last week in a fall, and her brother to take them both to the GP surgery for an appointment. They would normally have gone on their mobility scooters, but Christine can’t drive hers with her broken arm. That done, and her brother safely dropped off at his home, I stopped at Christine’s for a cuppa and a chat.
Thank you to Ingeborg for hosting the Abstract Thursday challenge. This week’s theme is ’Patterns’, which I’ve interpreted quite literally by photographing the Liberty print fabric of a zipped bag that was made for me by a friend a few years ago as a gift. I use it to keep headphones, ear buds, cable and a microphone safely together for my laptop.
