Teamwork

Today was the first workshop for my class. I was in one room with PhD student Y and another PhD student I've never met; in the other room was the one PhD student who has tutored for my course before, and my other PhD student B. It went well, despite the full spectrum of preparedness in the class. A few students breezed through the first two questions, allowing them to tackle the difficult one, and some clearly hadn't looked at any materials I've presented this week. 

Lunch in the common room took 90 minutes due to a long (work) chat between me and developer F before B and Y returned from their class, and we were joined by a couple of finishing PhD students and a colleague. Back in the office, after arranging a social evening with И and A before tickets sold out, I had a quick discussion with B, but it was also good to see F helping Y.

I picked up a few groceries from Lidl on the way home, and had cooked by the time A got home. The evening's entertainment was provided by United as they thrashed Southampton for the last 12 minutes of their match after seemingly facing an ignominious defeat for the first 82 minutes.
