I Made da Bill

A fine day, breezy at times, lots of sunny spells and dry all day.

Woke up, still not great, settled down in front of the telly for the day.  Just before noon, a sudden realisation came over, the worst of the symptoms had passed.  I've still had the odd niggle of the flu still lurking, but I think I'm on the road out now.  I managed a slow stroll before lunch.  I was quickly out of breath, but the cool fresh air felt wonderful.  I've managed to have another slow walk with Sammy this evening.  Tomorrow off as a holiday, so I can rest all weekend now.

Every Up Helly Aa has a bill, it's erected on the morning of the UHA.  No-one knows what will be on it, a surprise.  Generally it's about any mishaps that happened throughout the past year, a good excuse to take the mick out of folk.  I seem to feature on the second column, row 13.  A dig at Loganair at my expense, worth it.  Also on the bill is the bill head, the guizer Jarl chooses who will paint it, and what the subject will be.  This year it was painted by friend Toni Laurenson.  A beautiful painting with croft houses and Viking ship at South Havera.  A quick snap while I was out, the bill outside the galley shed, Main Street, Scalloway.
