Victorian Watertower ...

... for the former Ruchill Hospital. Now A listed. Designed and built between 1895-1900 by city engineer Alexander Beith McDonald. Closed in 1998 the hospital buildings were sadly demolished. Building work was started about two years ago and is still going on. Radiography Road, Laboratory Place, Vaccine Drive and Watertower Court are the names of the streets in the estate.
This link show the extent of the hospital in 1966.
Many thanks for all your visits, comments, stars and hearts. Very much appreciated
Some more photos of the tower here.
