Edmundbyres
Managed to get everything fed by 10am and left Kev to take 6 tons of sheep feed up to the the hill shed.
Littlemiss and I headed off on a wee road trip to Hexham. Unfortunately the mart hold their sale on Friday so couldn’t get lunch in their canteen.
Had a wander round the town and a look in Hexham Abbey then a quick lunch in a nice wee coffee shop across the road.
Next job was to head to Edmundbyres via Blanchland and round the Derwent reservoir, where my grandparents used to farm until they built the reservoir and flooded the valley.
Stopped at the church to give the grave stones their annual wash and tidy up and leave some flowers. Had a wee look inside the church then headed back up the road.
Stopped off at the chippy at Jedburgh for tea. Salt and sauce must be an Edinburgh thing as they asked if we wanted salt and vinegar, which I always thought was a weegie thing.
Back home by 6.30pm and 205 miles later.
Then another hour and a half to feed everything and bag up feed for tomorrow morning.
The joys…..
