Auchtermuchty

We heard through Facebook that Tim that ran The Tufted Duck Cafe at Rait Antique Centre had opened a new venture in Auchtermuchty so today, as it was a beautiful mild day, we decided to have a trip there.

It’s half an hour from Perth to ‘Muchty (home to the Proclaimers and Jimmy Shand).

The new place is just as rustic as the old one. With still the same warm welcome and extremely tasty food. S had the chicken broth which was very good. He had an egg mayo roll along with it and i had a fried egg roll. We were joined at our table by three elderly ladies from Falkland who were there for the first time . We had a right good blether with them, communal tables are great for meeting people.

Tim asked if we had found him ok. I said no, as the address on the Facebook page said Cupar Road and it wasn’t on Cupar Road! We took a wee while to find him and I said I would give a review and put a dropped pin into the location. Tim looked blankly at me and his son who was sitting eating his lunch said that his Dad would have no idea what a dropped pin was lol!

We had a lovely drive back home . It was a nice couple of hours out.
