Cellar temperature
Up early to finally tackle leaving the house. Unbelievable hard frost. De-iced the car, then had to de-ice the inside! Off to the garage to pay a bill, then figured that between the freezing fog and the water dripping off the windscreen onto my hands, driving was not fun. So headed home to properly dry the inside of the car.
Then work.
Then Mr B arrived home with the news* that his ski weekends starts tomorrow, so we had to get and collect the repaired car right away. The garage, given the huge bill I had paid that morning, were prepared to come out and have a go at starting the dead car. However, after 20 icy minutes waiting for them outside the house, we gave up and went to work (me) and shop (Mr B).
Early (ie on time) work finish to hang out with Mr B as he cooked a vat of bolognaise sauce to take on his boys’ ski trip tomorrow. Then duck and chips (actually lemon and thyme wedges owing to procurement issues) and my first wine for a while, here being brought swiftly to drinking temperature after retrieval from our very cold wine room!
*It was only news to me in the sense that I had forgotten.
