withering

After my talk to the camera club last night, I felt that I really should use my camera more. It is so easy to use the phone for everyday photos as it is always in my pocket.

I have a friend who likes to photograph dying tulips, and thought I would do the same with my my withering amaryllis. I like the papery texture of the petals, and the powdery stamens. 

I used my portrait lens and realised that I couldn't take a close up, so I cropped the photo. Then I took another photo with my phone, which I decided I liked best!  One is in the extra - which do you prefer?

I had two walks today - lots of activity is  suddenly going on in the countryside - fencing and tree trimming, mostly. 

We went to see the surgeon who will perform D's op and she is a keen knitter and admired his toorie, so I know he will be in good hands :-)
