Nicky and her Nikon

A very textured tree trunk

Today has been ridiculously busy! After breakfast I went grocery shopping as I had a fair amount to buy for the weekend - it's Tommy's birthday tomorrow and we are having the family - sans Adam - here for lunch. I got everything I needed, gosh isn't lamb expensive when it is out of season?! It also takes ages packing away all the groceries again, as I clear out the fridge at the same time.

That done, I finally I walked Xena - it was dull today but we had some sunshine for a couple of hours which soon faded to grey once again. By the time I got back home again Tommy had arrived from Cambridge where he had spent the week so far, working from there.

I had to wrap his birthday presents, package up a lens that I am selling, do the laundry, compile all the notes for the camera club committee meeting tonight and start drafting the minutes from the reports I have been sent. This was followed by an extraordinarily long time reading all the reviews on some new hiking boots that I want to buy - they are currently at a very reduced sale price so I eventually bought them after trawling through all the various hiking reviews. The sale finishes soon so I could not leave that for another day. I also had to convert some images to mono that were required for an interclub camera competition...then I remembered I had to bake Tommy's cupcakes. My boy is turning 24 tomorrow and he still loves cupcakes! I made him his favourite cupcakes which will be smothered in chocolate icing with smarties!

Now I need to prepare supper early as I have my committee meeting tonight - so apologies if I have not got around to all the journals yet as I intended to do!
