I Walked up to the Freezer …
… of Lac Tanay today. It was possibly -12*C or so and I thought the restaurant would be open for a nice warming soup. I had misread the opening times! The lake was completely frozen, which I had expected, and will be till May probably. But I had never seen the huge ice crystals (in extra) before, growing on the frozen lake surface. It was a shame that I didn’t have a macro lens with me.
This sunny, but very cold spell of high pressure, is not letting up at least till next Tuesday, great for photography, but treacherous underfoot in places. Particularly at weekends people are skiing madly, out of control on icy pistes, lured by the sunshine. The rescue helicopters and hospitals are hardly able to keep up apparently. If you were thinking of coming out for a ski holiday, wait till the next snow has fallen!
Yoga evening, so a communal « thank you » for all your comments, stars and hearts left yesterday and today.
