Estuary view

It was fairly thick fog when I first glanced out the window this morning.  By the time I had showered the sun was beginning to peak through so I decided to quickly head to the beach and estuary.  The light was lovely with the mist in the distance quickly dissipating.  It was very still and as the sun warmed the air it was delightful.  I took this scene by the estuary and then walked along the beach towards Otterhead.  A dog disturbed a snow bunting on the shingle which would have otherwise been difficult to see.  It eventually flew into a small branch across the estuary and on my return walk I spotted it and another one on the sparse branches of a shrub.

I then returned home for breakfast and later in the morning managed a short spell of weeding on the allotment.

The day remained very still and sunny and my husband and I went for a wander along the beach before heading to a friend's 90th birthday celebration.  Such beautiful weather and we even spotted a kingfisher flying away.  The birthday celebrations were very enjoyable an afternoon with tea and cake and lots of chat.

Camera club in the evening.
