A day in the garden
It’s been a mild sunny day here so we made the most of it in the garden clearing out the pool which had become overgrown. It took several years for the plants to settle & to get their feet down but now we can’t stop them. We’ve culled the reeds which had choked the irises, unfortunately the irises came out entangled with the reeds, I’ve planted them back into the surviving baskets so hopefully they will thrive now.
I’ve also dug out the Crocosmia that I put in during lockdown. Because there were few plants available I made the mistake of planting several clumps that are now threatening to take over the whole garden.
I think I will move more plants & get rid of my least favourite so that I’ll have room for some new ones, it’s time for a change.
