Faded glory

I had an optician’s appointment today in the centre of town. It is looking so sad. The vast majority of the shops are empty remnants of a bygone time. Some of the buildings are lovely and it is such a shame they are being left to ruin. I don’t know what the answer is, I’m as guilty as any at benefitting from the ease of online shopping. And to be honest, after today’s visit I’m in no hurry to return.
