Dentist Dates
Today's dentist date is clearly not real as the poster in the doorway is accepting new patients. This was at Little Lancashire Village where we took Freya this afternoon - it's an indoor play area for young children with lots of role play areas.
Yesterday's dentist date was very much real, but I'll spare you the gory details. I went for a 45 minute appointment to start the process of replacing a gold bridge at the back of my mouth. As the dentist worked, he said his next patient had cancelled and he would do all the prep work now, more than doubling the time!
As I laid there with my mouth wide open I thought about my car parked outside in a limited waiting area. I thought it was an hour, and was feeling annoyed that I'd get a ticket and £30 penalty. Then I realised that another £30 on top of the dental charges was peanuts so I 'relaxed' again.
Update: my mouth has two temporary crowns (caps) and an enormous chasm between them. I can't chew properly at the moment as this is where I have done most of my chewing for as long as I can remember, and it now has a (temporary) gap. Unreal!
I forgot to say that the parking was for 2 hours, but where I usually park is only 1 hour. So good news, and I will be back in 2 weeks for the bridge fitting!
