Fireside Chat
Okay, not really a chat, more a subtle display of dominance with the Cat being in complete charge. Jax was cozy in front of the fire so I decided to get down low with the 50mm lens and try some shots. No sooner had I gotten a few nice frames when Charlie strolled in and plopped himself down in front of Jax. He then proceeded to stretch out, at one point touching Jax's nose with a paw. You'll notice in this shot that Jax is very carefully not making eye contact. He knows who the Boss is in this house and it is not the 65 pound dog.
It's windy again today and although the sun is shining, it's quite cold so I think we won't do a walk today. Just too cold. Instead, I will do some training indoors and maybe some scent hides.
I had a follow up appointment this morning with my audiologist. He checked my BAHA device as well as the abutment that it attaches to (which is bolted into my skull!). Also gave me a couple of ideas on how to get more hearing benefit when I am in noisy places. I like having the BAHA very much as it really does help me to hear in more challenging environments. Nothing fully replaces actual hearing, but Cochlear has done an extraordinary job in developing bone anchored devices for people like me who are single-side deaf.
One more shot in Extra of Jax demonstrating his signature "Side Eye".
