Fixing

Repair work on Ryde pier means the trains currently stop at the esplanade. I opted to walk instead of taking the rail replacement bus so got to watch the work team removing rubbish onto a barge.

Flat sea made for a fast crossing and easily caught the tight connection train from Portsmouth harbour. Got comfy in the quiet coach which was lovely for a couple of stops. Then a couple got on, commented on it being the quiet coach but decided it was ok to talk… had a very loud conversation all the way to Waterloo! Grrrrr!
