REMEMBERING DAD

This Blipfoto shows my father taking me to St Marks Church in Chapel Ash Wolverhampton ( UK) , at least


one blipper will know this , I’m sure the church has long gone, like a lot of church’s costs are too high to keep them going.
Dad would have been 123 years old today ! ! He was a great dad & loving father of 2 sons & a daughter ( me) I was 2years old when the second world war started . My health caused a lot of trouble to my parents . With no car my father & mother traveled on 2 buses to the hospital to see me .. My Dad was a strong arm for my mother during the 4 months that followed, yes he was a good father !

I had a surprise phone call this morning , a friend from church said” I’m on my way be with you in 30 minutes” , Totally out of the blue it was great. When M came after a chat I got a sandwich lunch , then followed more chat . Part of which was was very sad a church member died very suddenly last Friday. We never know what’s around the corner do we?
The day has been dry but I feel still very cold & the forecast at lunch time reported it was going to be lower at the weekend again brr rolling spring.
