Spring??!

Has spring, sprung? Surely
not.. and yet, blue skies, some warmth
and wee buds, budding!

I couldn't believe how different it was today, almost warm at times and lovely light and sky.  Ben had low blood sugars when he was with school at the park, so they asked me to drive and fetch him from there instead of meeting them at school. The journey up the driveway past the trees was beautiful (see Extra), I love the promise of warmer weather, yes I know it's a bit early yet(!) but any sense that winter might be on the Way Out, however false the promise, is OK by me!
In other news I spent a lot of time on the phone to DWP to apply for PIP for Ben, now that he is 16, only to be cut off right at the end when they were telling me we were done. Sigh.  I've rung back and waited in the queue 3 more times and they now say they're having technical difficulties - I will not be deterred but it does make my blood boil, there must be people trying to do this who won't have the patience or time to take on the mission of it all, it seems very unfair.  
Not much else to report, made a beef stew, had two walks with Leo, quick chat with my Mum and some more chasing things up for school options for Ben.  Wednesday.. I can't decide if that's come quickly or slowly this week, I think everything feels a bit surreal at the moment.
