Artificial City
Finally, I managed to see my Indian friend before she’s leaving tomorrow.
She wanted to meet at the MTZ (Main-Taunus-Zentrum), a huge shopping centre near the highway to Frankfurt. It’s an odd place, which I never liked much - shops, a cinema and some fast food restaurants, built in the middle of nowhere; clearly meant to look like a city centre, but failing - due to lack of character and charm (see my blip). Still, the parking lots were full and the shops busy with people looking for bargains in the end-of-winter sales. My friend found gifts for her family, we had pizza and later coffee, and chatted.
What kind of shop the colourful cat on the huge animated display was advertising for, I have no idea. But it was the most attractive feature in that artificial world.
