We caught the train along to Belém today. A lovely but slightly damp walk to the train station but it had cleared up by the time we got there.

Made the required pilgrimage to have some Pasteis, had the same reaction as I did when I went with Matt to the crazy cheap prices (as a result we over-ordered slightly). Walked down to the tower, then got back on the train to the LX factory neighbourhood. Tons of very cute little shops, galleries and cafes. We stopped for a smoothie and Pose got a text to say Bex had gone into labour (couple of weeks early). Exciting!

Spent a couple of hours there, then got the train back to Lisbon and had a bit of food at the Time Out market. While there Pose heard that the baby was here! She had a little happy cry, people on our table were confused.

For dinner we went to a tapas place by Se cathedral. All delicious, especially the jug of white sangria we shared. After dinner we walked up about a million steps to the top of Alfama and had a ginjinha with a view (extras).
