A Winter's Dream

A brilliant evening at the Barbican. What better time to see a rollicking production of A Midsummer's Night's Dream than the middle of January. This was the Royal Shakespeare Company's production that was first staged at Stratford upon Avon in January 2024. I don't know when it transferred to London but the run closes on Saturday and I thoroughly recommend it to any blipper who fancies seeing this really imaginative and incredibly staged rendering of Shakespeare's best known comedy.  I think there are still a few tickets left for the rest of this week but not Saturday. Matthew Baynton of 'Ghosts' fame was the big name in the cast, playing Bottom, but I'm sure he'd be the first to praise all the cast members who were uniformly excellent.
