Looked like a fine day, plenty of sunshine too.  Rain this evening. 

Woke up with a terrible cold with almost flu like symptoms.  Phoned in sick, which I hate to.do.  A day on the sofa, feeling sorry for myself.  As the day has gone on, I've only got worse, even taking various medications.  It'll be early to bed tonight.

It's quite common for cold/flu/viruses to spread over the Fire Festival weekend, unfortunately this time I've caught the bad one.  I felt like a mild cold yesterday, until last night, it struck hard.  After 12hrs broken sleep, I dragged myself out of bed.  Thankfully big Brian took Sammy for the day.  Kitty has been home all day, and keeping an eye on me, actually mostly cuddled up on me.  It sounds like this cold has fairly done the rounds at the weekend, just hope it passes quickly.  Kitty having a cleaning break, at home, Houl Road, Scalloway.
