The Heavens Above

.....opened during the night and I have to admit I fled for the shelter of my car when the lighting got very close. Spent ages trying to find out how to control all the lights, ventilation & sounds it makes. Soon as you want to turn something on, the headlights start up and shine directly into the neighbours mobile home. Open the door & ten lights flash and beeps are emitted. 

I was pleased when daylight came & could start to dry out my possessions abandoned in the tent with door not fully closed when I abandoned it.

Drove over the border to Strasbourg but as we entered the city,  Kate remembered one needs a French sticker to display in the windscreen showing your environmental status.  Naturally with an EV we fulfilled the highest level, but that doesn't stop one needing the sticker. We quickly did a U-turn and went to nearby German town of Offenburg for lunch and a good long walk about. Never did get a ticket/fine from Strasbourg, but quickly got myself the appropriate sticker which has NO time limit. Has to be done online,  very easy and cost about €5 which includes postage of the physical sticker to Germany.
