The carnival is over

Over the Christmas and New Year period Marks & Spencer in Westhill brings in several large refrigerated storage units to accommodate the extra provisions they need during this period.

Today the storage units are being loaded onto trucks for removal, a sign that the carnival is definitely over.

Yesterday's ice melted overnight, so pavements are once again in a fit state to be used. I did notice the odd small patch of ice here and there, so a little attention was required. It was a relief to be able to go out and about again. I took the opportunity for a much needed trip to the Marks & Spencer's food hall.

Today there was a nice sunset which I have added as an extra.
