Cooling down

This Cape Weaver made good use of the bird bath today, as did many other birds.  Our hot weather continues. Rain is forecast for tomorrow so let's hope it happens.
I had a friend for tea this morning who wanted to see my New York photobook, and this afternoon hubby's friends came for a visit. So it's been a social day.
I discovered this evening that Coda has a loose tooth, I think it's a pre molar - it's hanging by a thread so I guess that means a trip to the vet tomorrow. I just wish I could stop her from tugging bushes to get sticks to play with as I'm sure this is harming her teeth. She has already broken one of the Canines. She only does it if we go out for walks, so maybe walks should be banned, or she needs to be trained..
It's our Canadian granddaughter, Sophia's birthday today. We had a quick video chat before she went off to school. Nine years old, she is growing up so fast.
