A view from Jeanneb

Uncovered

The snow has continued to disappear all day. There was still enough on the pavements for us to be wary about walking up to Pilates in the village. First session since before Christmas.

When we came out more had gone and my friend and I walked on to Woodbank Garden centre for lunch. We both had Cullen Skink, a recipe we were told the chef was trying out. It was very nice and perfect for the day which still felt cold.

Before going out I had a look in the garden for signs of new life  emerging from the snow. Yes there are snow drops visible. The dead foliage from the Pasque flower wants cutting back and I had to fight my way through the Fuchsia Genii to get the second clump that are showing the white flower heads. That will want cutting right back too as this bed will eventually be full of snow drops and crocus and the new Pasque flowers.
I also spotted a lilac/blue flower in amongst the early crocus growing under the Magnolia, a future blip.
