Rest day...

After four long days of survey Pete and I decided to have a rest day before finishing off our project tomorrow. I still ended up spending a lot of time outdoors, first walking Rosie along the river at Castor, where there were clouds of banded demoiselles and then heading to Stanground Wash to do some photography for the Wildlife Trust. Despite the forecast saying that temperatures would be moderate, with plenty of high cloud, as soon as I arrived the sun came out and it became very hot. I had to keep wiping the sweat from my eyes in order to see through the viewfinder! There were lots of butterflies, including both small and green-veined whites mud-puddling again.
