Bigfoot Exists!
The big freeze is over.
By 4pm the temperature had risen by 10 degrees to 10ºC.
Puddles of water started appearing on the ice from mid morning. Probably much to the relief of this individual and its ilk.
A common coot, or Eurasian coot, Fulica atra on the ice in the Beveridge Park, Kirkcaldy (where the skaters were at the weekend). It does not have webbed feet (it is not a duck) but instead has broad flanges on each segment of its long toes which gives it bigger feet than expected for a bird of its size.
