Hyacinths

Both Christmas gifts of hyacinths are in flower, three pink and three blue, and their scent is filling the kitchen.

I was looking forward to today - drumming in the morning and choir this evening, but both were cancelled due to the weather. While the roads are clear, the pavements are lethal, covered in compacted snow and sheet ice. Apparently it's possible to drive in to Homfirth, but very difficult to park, as parking spaces and car parks are full of snow cleared by the snow ploughs! Still under the weather, so it wouldn't have been a good idea to go out and spread the germs in any case...
