Good morning .......

       A different light
No more white nor slip nor slide
       Temperatures rising

Lovely start to the day and I’ve been messing about in my Nature Journal.  Not being any good at writing poetry I’m attempting some Haiku.  Artwork not up to scratch but following my visit to the Farm the other day when the weather was frosty and cold, amongst others  I saw Starlings on the wires, the Blackbird pecking in the leaves,  Mum and piglets in their shelter keeping warm, Kevin the grumpy cockerel and Kitty, the Greyhound modelling her Winter headgear, which all gave me some clues:

       Birds on frosty wires
Piglets with mum safe and warm
       Nature is dressed in white

       Heard the low ca-caws
Black Bird pecks for Winter scraps
       Amongst the frozen leaves

       Showing off her fetching hat
Greyhound stands in abject misery
       Kitty is not impressed

And for the tree in next door’s garden:

       Hoar frost clings to trees
Silver Birch all cloaked in white
       Nature wears her wedding Dress

Thinking of a Haiku for grumpy Kevin the Cockerell, please feel free to compose one, and I’ll tidy up the artwork to go with it tomorrow!
