Promising start to the day

An unexpected sunrise taken from an upstairs window.
Well the thaw arrived overnight and I managed to clear all the snow off my car and get out to Sainsbugs. The pavements were still very icy though’ but when I returned home, the ice was turning to mush.
It was grand to get out under my own steam and not to have to rely on others. I am very grateful for the help and kindness my neighbour showed by taking me to Morrisons a few days ago, it was a bit of a lifesaver.
