When I mentioned that I needed something old, and fun, for the theme of the day, my husband picked up a book from 1880. (He has plenty of old books). It contained a map that was drawn as early as 1482 (yes, it was reprinted in 1880, of course). It represents northern Europe. 
At that time, you did not have access to today's equipment to get accurate maps. So it became confusing and interesting to try to find my own place on the map. In fact, I am still unsure. But it was fun to see this old map.
