Boys From The Black Stuff

Blippers from a certain era will know from the title what I’m on about.

(If you don’t know - it was a British drama on TV over 40 years ago about life on Merseyside in the Thatcher era but I was too young and naive then to appreciate it fully)

In our case today it was ‘boys with the black stuff’. Despite having an email on Friday stating "there is no Tarmac work scheduled for your road next week" guess who turned up?

At one point I counted 9 of them including the tipper lorry driver. It was only two small patching areas that were done, we’ve still got the final topping of the whole road surface to be done at some point. But it needed 9 of them. Plus two wheelbarrows; a small roller, digger, dumper and whacker plate.

And it’s still only Monday.
