Wigan Flashes Dawn

A very early walk down to the Wigan Flashes and the Leigh Branch of the Leeds/Liverpool Canal.
Snow still lying on the paths, and both Scotmans Flash (right) and the canal (left) are frozen. The raised towpath that runs between them is very tricky underfoot, so I took this image from the new bypass flyover, which has become a great vantage point for photography in this area!
