Earwig

I've been keeping an eye out for one of these critters and happily had two in a Dahlia my neighbour gave me. The Dahlia incidentally is approximately the size of a teaplate - massive.

Not the best pic around but these blighters don't half shift - as it is I had to fill a bit of the background in as it moved out of shot. Hey ho - it kept me amused for a bit and they're both snuggled back inside the Dahlia again. I'll have to give it a shake outside before bed-time and set them free into the big wide world!
