Sunday dinner
I love seafood, and have been wanting to try my hand at preparing crusted sea scallops. I have a professional chef friend who told me exactly what to do. Three steps; roll them in flour, dip them in the egg wash, and then finally roll them around in the bread crusting.
Place the scallops on a cookie sheet, and then bake them in the oven at 350F for about 10 - 12 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking.
Thanks to my chef friend, the end result was quite satisfying. I do need to go just a minute or two longer next time, as they were not browned as much as I would have liked to see, but then, that is just the visual effect. Tasted fine to me :)
