Winter Walk

It was cold & overcast this morning so I did indoor chores until the sun broke through.
After lunch I walked across the fields with my camera, there were a few pheasants, red kites, buzzards & also small flocks of gold finches & yellowhammers hiding in the hedgerows making it very difficult to get a clear image of them.
The farmer has been busy bringing large amounts of manure into the fields which is waiting to be spread but in the meantime the birds are enjoying the insects in the huge mounds, I’ve photographed robins, wrens & pied wagtails so far.
