Now that the birds’ water bowl no longer frequently needs emptying of ice the blackbirds, robin  and pigeons are happy. Perhaps many of the other birds don’t need so much water in winter.  Before getting rid of the Christmas cards there seem to be several with different birds but few of these are seen in our garden.   Not surprisingly some are from the RSPB charity.
