Cubs reading badge

We all went to Stamford this morning to collect the youngest - amd have breakfast with Granny. The eldest was a bit ratty, something to do with going to sleep quite late I suspect. Lovely breakfast with Granny though!

Home, I spent the rest of the day inside tidying and cleaning our house as it had.somehow become an utter mess and needed attention! Job done, but not exactly much satisfaction of enjoying my day.  Husband was outside all day working on the hedge, he is very happy with his work (and very tired!). Roast dinner, I'm happy to have my oven and hob in place. The youngest and I made shortbread this afternoon, which we both really enjoyed (and the shortbread is good too!). 

Both boys completed their cubs reading badge before they could watch TV this afternoon.
